Cleaning out old files from my flash drive today and I found this:

It's an old PDF of a blog post from James Duncan Davidson to TED speakers. If you're in speech / forensics, read it. It probably applies to you too.
I'm sure there's a digital copy out there on the web rather than the PDF I have, but I couldn't find it with Google in two minutes and I'm lazy so I gave up.
